In response to Anne.
Undeniably, we have all succumed to social norms and trying to fit in. If social oddity become a norm, what would that make us then? In the near future, I see more and more cliques emerging from the holes of hell. Some obsessed with fashion, some music, some just plain lost and try to be flexible and shall i say “keep their radar on a wide span”. they hunt for cool cliques to join, leave when then find a better one and the cycle never stops. nothing ever stops anyway. even when you die, they still talk about you as a memory, in reminise. but why are we all always vying to be the best? why are we so obsessed about what others have to say, what others feel about us or what others deem us to be..
ask yourselves, are you happy with yourself? the key to really being happy, in my honest opinion, is when you yourself are content with what you have. the friends, family and your beating heart. isn’t that what living is supposed to be like? why burden yourselves and weigh yourselves down with miniscule issues that doesn’t even concern you or have any effect on your life.
lesson to be learnt here: people and things they come and go. whats gone is gone. just keep holding on to the ones withing your reach and stop trying to grab those that are miles away.
good morning new york.
